I feel I must register a public and personal thank you to Ralph for his prior planning to facilitate my swift arrival on parade; this task adds to his usual burdens on the day. Between them Ian Kendall and Alan Hogg endured an endless torrent of unsurpassed babble whilst conveying me to Barnsley. This defect in my nature is a result being rendered speechless for six months (that sounds like any detachment!) One abiding memory that will endure will be how I allowed myself to be persuaded by Carol Harper to do something I haven’t even attempted in twenty six years; we took to the dance floor. Bern Mac will testify to the size of my swollen -- ankle. Another thank you goes to Eric Rose for the lift back to LBA, along with the road-craft and navigation seminar. A thank you to the brotherhood for recharging my memory cells yet again.

Another great re-union ! Thank you to all who generously successfully bid at the auction. The money generated continues to guarantee the high standard we have all become to expect. I sent out about 20 emails this morning to invite those who are not yet members of our Legion branch to join. Most were undelivered due to individuals changing their e-mail addresses. If you think you might be one please send me a test message so that I can update the data base. To others - applications available on request ! Regards all.

Deb's and I would like to thank all of the committee that organised such a fantastic reunion. We both would like to thank you all for your friendship.
One or two highlights for us were of course the auction so memorably carried out by Ray Duffy, and of course the entertainment and poor old Ray Cardwells side right off the stage.
One of the other events would not have been seen by many but relates to Saturday morning when one or two of us took in a bit of culture and visited the RSPB Reserve at Old MOOR.
Part of the reserve was closed as one of Britains rarest birds a Marsh Harrier had been seen building a nest. Not deterred by the locked and chained gate and sign, four of 216 finest climbed over the gate and continued their walk.
The best part was when they returned to the Shop/Cafe to be confronted by a young lady they had been giving a bit of Hat and Chat to earlier and given a right bl!!king.
No chance there lads.
Stay Well All
Chris

What a fantastic turnout. The reunions are really catching on. Thanks to Ralph and all for the work done to make 2010 successful. I had a fantastic time and it was great to meet all my old comrades from 216. I would like to especially thank Bob Griffiths, Alan and Keith for an enlightening visit to the Bird Sanctuary. (Not what I expected) Bob has managed to retain his (Specialist) sense of humour that topped the reunion for me. Thanks Bob. We need to refresh Ray Cardwell on his side right landing. I was convinced that it was a part of the act but apparently not. All the best to everyone. Phil Kirk

Just like to thank Ralph,Ray,Jimmy and Keith for all the hard work they put in to lay on a function of this magnitude.

the company as usual first class, rooms very comfy and a nice size.I thought Ray Cardwell deserved an Oscar for falling off the stage and I haven't stopped laughing.

All in All a great reunion and already looking forward to the next. We left very early on Sunday morning so apologies from Midge and myself to all we missed saying cheerio to. Jim Bain if you see this please send your email address to me. Again thanks a million.
